How to Disinfect Rooms With a Commercial UVC Sterilizer
There is something about a clean house that does wonders for our psyche, and even more so for our physical health. But the thought of all that industrious and vigorous cleaning can often make us neglectful and sloppy. This is where commercial UV room sterilizers have revolutionized cleaning and disinfecting incredibly.
Commercial UV room sterilizers were first used in US hospitals around 2007. The popularity of these devices has surged ever since as they can disinfect virtually all surfaces in a room at once and, that too, without labor and toxic chemicals.

How to Use a Commercial UV Room Sterilizer
With commercial UVC light sterilizers, you have two options to go about disinfecting a room; manual and remote operation. The first thing you would do is plug in the device and place it in the center of the room. Make sure that the area is clear and the device is 40” away from the ground.
The Cycle Length
The size of your room or the space you want to disinfect will determine the length of the cycle. A quick guide to estimate the length of the cycle of UVC disinfection is as under:
- 15 minutes for an area of about 225 ft²
- 30 minutes for an area of about 450 ft²
- 45 minutes for an area of about 550 ft²
- 60 minutes for an area of about 650 ft²
For manual operation, place the device in the center of the room, plug it in and turn the power on. On the touch panel, press the power button to turn on the device. Now go to the ‘Time Setting’ button and select the cycle length. There will be a 10-second delay before the UVC light turns on.
For remote operation, place the device in the center of the room and plug it into a power socket. Next, press the power button on the remote control and then press the ‘Time Setting’ button to choose the cycle length. Like with the manual operation, there is going to be a 10-second delay before the UVC light activates.
After you have switched on your commercial UV room sterilizer, the motion sensor in it will activate after 20 seconds. This means that if the device will detect motion within 16 ft., the light will turn off automatically. If it detects no motion for the next 20 seconds, it will turn back on again automatically. In case you want to deactivate the motion sensor, hold down the ‘Time Setting’ button for 5 seconds.
UVC devices are a great technological leap in the area of sterilizing and disinfecting places. Not only do they kill 99.9% of all harmful pathogens, but they are a cinch to use. That said, not all UVC sterilizers in the market can be as good as it gets.
A lot of brands are selling UV-A and UV-B lamps under the label of UV lights, when in truth they are not as effective as UVC light. Find the best UV room sterilizer that you can find in the market at UVC Deals today for clean, effortless and safe cleaning!
